Handling temporality in human activity reasoning

چکیده
Human-aware Artificial Intelligent systems are goal directed autonomous that capable of interacting, collaborating, and teaming with humans. Activity reasoning is a formal approach aims to provide common sense capabilities these interactive intelligent systems. This can be done by considering evidences –which may conflicting–related activities human performs. In this context, it important consider the temporality such evidence in order distinguish analyse relations between activities. Our based on argumentation reasoning, specifically, Timed Argumentation Frameworks (TAF), which an appropriate technique for dealing inconsistencies knowledge bases. involves two steps: local selection global selection. selection, model world human’s mind constructed form hypothetical fragments (pieces evidences) set observations. These have kinds relations: conflict relation temporal relation. Based relations, attack notion defined. We define forms attacks namely strong weak attack. The former has same characteristics TAF whereas latter extended. For determining consistent sets fragments, part activity or non-conflicting activities, extension-based semantics applied. degrees fulfillment determined. study some properties our apply scenario where performs different relations.

Handling Temporality of Clinical Events for Drug Safety Surveillance
Using longitudinal data in electronic health records (EHRs) for post-marketing adverse drug event (ADE) detection allows for monitoring patients throughout their medical history. Machine learning methods have been shown to be efficient and effective in screening health records and detecting ADEs. How best to exploit historical data, as encoded by clinical events in EHRs is, however, not very we...
متن کاملHandling Exceptions in nonmonotonic reasoning
We introduce some differences in the style defeasible information is represented and inferences are made in nonmonotonic reasoning. These, at first sight harmless, changes, in fact, helped us to discover a very important principle guiding how inferences should be drawn in nonmonotonic reasoning, we name it the exception-first principle or EFP. DLEF is our own variant for default logic complying...
متن کاملTerminological Reasoning with Constraint Handling Rules
1.1 Abstract Terminological knowledge representation formalisms in the tradition of kl-one enable one to deene the relevant concepts of a problem domain and their interaction in a structured and well-formed way. In recent years, a wealth of literature has appeared on this topic, e.g. Baj93]. Sound and complete inference algorithms for terminological logics have been developed using constraint c...
متن کاملTemporality in Interaction Design
In this paper we argue that temporal aspects of interactions have not yet received enough attention in interaction design research. We find this lack of concern to negatively influence both interaction design practice as well as research. This paper is therefore a first attempt to explore and examine potential techniques that might be usable to describe and analyze temporality in interactions. ...
متن کاملHandling Representation Changes by Autistic Reasoning
We discover the patterns of autistic reasoning in the conditions requiring change in representation of domain knowledge. The formalism of non-monotonic logic of defaults is used to simulate the autistic decision-making while learning how to adjust an action to the environment which forces new representation structure. Our main finding is that while autistic reasoning may be able to process sing...
